I believe like New Horizons Items combining questions and codes would be a little bit of a mess, personally. If you do see codes in the questions thread they may be reported and we can clean them up when we view it. Also, as for information events, we do tacky Update Megathreads when they come about. Could there possibly be more like pre-update stickies/update announcements? I believe so. But yes, honestly, I would like to free up a sticky slot eventually.

As for how I would like the subreddit moderatedI want to keep it comparatively light-hearted. I wouldn't mind more or less rules. I simply don't want it to be too strict, I do not think strict principles apply nicely to some typical Animal Crossing subreddit.

Despite the fluffy nature of this game, this community can be incredibly rabid when something they don't like gets posted. I report those things as I see them, but I see the poisonous posters continue to post here and wonder if it even does some good. I will be completely honest here though, I understand your second point. And I will admit for awhile, there has not been a lot of active moderation , only being 1-2 active mods at some points. Lately I sat down for some time and caught up together with all the monstrously deep queue. For the time being, everything's caught up. That is why I'd love to have some new moderators, therefore the active ones do not get burned out and things fall behind again. So pleasekeep reporting. And if it is something you're interested in, I encourage you to apply for moderator yourself.
