Your avatar's speed will slow down as you approach
Help with skill tutors in order to RS gold eliminate the money-making aspect of Lumbridge Jagex's recent shift to Lumbridge has me a bit upset. Jagex felt Lumbridge wasn't big enough and decided to eliminate of the skill mentors. Lumbridge was never overcrowded before. Lumbridge appears to be quite empty these days.
To those irritating "Can i have 5k plz" or "Need5k" beggars, we always encounter the same thing at Grand Exchange was: "No. You can work as a Lumbridge tutor instead. ...Plus, you're playing Runescape and you don't require 5k, you want 5k (there's a difference). That's a whole different story.
Personally, I liked the system of tutoring for skill. Jagex should not have eliminated the Lumbridge tutors. But if someone prefers to learn by themselves, then that does not mean that they should not remove the Lumbridge mentors for players who want them.
The Runescape safe zone (Lumbridge Varrock, Falador) has new guards. This was just stupid. Anyone under 60 must speak to guards before being allowed to quit the "safe zone". Fine. Jagex stated that the new guards will not cause too much disturbance for players over 60.
Your avatar's speed will slow down as you approach the guards. After a few minutes they'll allow you to pass, and after which your avatar will speed up to a sprint. You should be able to run through the guards if you're at 60 or more.
I'm not worried if others disagree with my views. What is the point in slowing our running down, making us stop, and then forcing us to start accelerating again? Any high-level players will know that they're out of the safe zone - i.e. Don't add an extra delay that's 100.0% unnecessary. This is an additional inconvenience that was not there prior to now and is of no use. You may also be stopped by guards (another delay), even if you're entering the zone of safety.
It's ok to allow Runescape to give adequate warnings (e.g. Beware! You are about to enter an area that has a monster of high level! These warnings may be useful in grabbing attention of the player (or they could be disabled). The Runescape zones that are safe are now closed to players above level 60.
What are the requirements to be a Dragon Slayer?
I was fishing near Musa Point (Karmja). A man approached us and asks for food. He was playing Dragon Slayer. A person on the dock caught and cooked 22 lobsters for him. While doing so we inquired about his statistics. He said he was level 40 in strength, attack defense, ranged and magic, low, and 15 in prayer. A rune scimitar and an amulet were among his possessions. Also, he had an anti-dragonfire boots, a shield and rune platelegs.
I was struck by the ranges of att/str/def and the types of food/armor/supplies you need to have. He advised me to be wearing a (rune-full) helmet when facing Elvarg. He went for buy OSRS gold Elvarg combat. I decided to stop fishing and watch the fight.
