The Daily Mail is reporting that Manchester United may offer Carlos Queiroz a return to the club. Previously, the Portuguese coach Tommy Hunter Jersey had two spells as an a sistant manager at the club. First he arrived at the club in 2002 and spent just one season before Real Madrid offered him the vacant managerial role. During this time, he had the opportunity to work with the Brazilian Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, and David Beckham, with the latter joining the club from Manchester United just one week before Queiroz was appointed. He has an amazing ability of identifying player potential. While at Real Madrid, he recommended that the Spanish club signs defender Pepe for 2 Million Euro as he believed he had the potential to be a great centre-back. This recommendation was rejected by the club Sean Rodriguez Jersey administration at the time. Three years later, Pepe arrived at Real Madrid for 30 million.Queiroz was relieved of his duties as manager of Real Madrid in May 2004, and he joined Manchester United again as manager on the 1st July 2004. He spent four years at the club in which time Ferguson was already speaking of him as his natural succe sor when the Scot decides to retire. The opportunity to manage the Portuguese national team came up in the summer of 2008 when Luiz Felipe Scolari departed to take the post at Chelsea. Queiroz could not reject this opportunity. He signed a four year Dave Cash Jersey deal which started on the 11th July 2008. Under his management, the national team failed to meet expectations during the qualification stage of the World Cup 2010. However, they qualified for the summer event and reached the knock-out round in the tournament, only to be eliminated by eventual winners Spain by a 1-0 scoreline. The Euro 2012 qualifying stage started badly for Queiroz and he was sacked on the 9th September 2010, following an incident with drug testers before the World Cup and a subsequent 6-month ban imposed by the Portuguese anti-doping authority.Sir Alex Ferguson is known to be a keen admirer of Queiroz and of his capabilities. At the back of his mind, he probably still sees him as his ideal succe sor. He is still popular with most of the United backroom staff Jim Bunning Jersey and with the players. It is thought that he had a say in the recent transfer of Bebe to the club. Despite being happy with Phelan and Meulensteen as the current a sistants, Ferguson would still love to make Queiroz a key part of his backroom staff for the third time, and utilise his experience, linguistic skills and careful planning. Queiroz would be an e sential acquisition for United who would work in unison with Aaron Altherr Jersey Ferguson to bring domestic and European glory to Old Trafford.
