You are just wrongly using it. Magic isn't designed to OSRS gold be used in the same way as Range or Melee. Range and Melee can't hit one target simultaneously however magic (using Ancients), is able to hit multiple targets at once.

To show the similarity, I will use an analogy. Magic is real-life nuclear weapon. The Ak-47 is a distinct kind of weapon than a nuke. Nukes are made to hit many objects at once and obliterate them all, while an Ak-47 is made to kill individuals.

And this is where most people are killed when using magic. They attempt to apply Magic exactly like they're familiar with by using Range and Melee but, in reality, this isn't the best way to go. You can use your advantage to hit several people at the same time. If you consistently attack a crowd of people, you're likely to be able to kill them fast, especially when using the Ice spells.

Another thing I've seen rarely is the full Ahrim's and shadow spells. It will probably reduce the enemy's Attack or Strength to zero, rendering them ineffective. Once they are diminished in stats Smoke and buy RuneScape Mobile gold ice spells can be used to poison them and stop them from moving.
