YouTuber and streamer Tyceno was the first person to 2K22 MT expose the scam that lured gamers to fork over thousands of dollars believing they'd earn more. Tyceno wrote "I have strong evidence to believe that @StepBackRack is behind the huge illegal pyramid scheme which took place within the NBA 2K Community in which over $200,000 was stolen from young , vulnerable victims because they believed they could 'flip their money'."
It's unclear if Rack or Raangee knew of the scam or whether their accounts were compromised. We've tried contacting the two of them multiple times but to nothing to no avail.
Tyceno and others who are suspected victims told us how "Rack" made contact via chat with a range of gamers in the age group.
